​The brief for a mural at St Patrick’s Primary School was to incorporate elements of community and the environment. The school also wanted the year 6 students to be involved in the design in some way.

The final design celebrated the natural world and our obligation to work together as a community to protect it.

The teachers engaged the students in a discussion around what community and environment meant to them. They were then asked to choose an appropriate word to be included in the mural design.
